Assistant Manager, Internal Audit

Major Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of internal audit projects, while ensuring quality reporting standards are maintained and adhered to in accordance with CB Internal Audit Methodology, applicable regulation and legislation, and best practices. The position supports the Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit with developing and executing the annual audit plan and the risk management assessment framework to drive internal audit projects. The position is required to provide support to their direct and indirect reports by providing recommendation of initiatives to enhance the internal audit function, while assisting with creating operational efficiencies and reducing risks across the Bank. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of the Bank’s policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and Bahamas financial services legislation and regulations.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of six (6) years qualifications with a Professional Auditing or Accounting Firm.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting from a recognized University.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

Knowledge:
The applicant should be proficient in the following areas:
• Accounting principles, techniques and auditing software.
• Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate knowledge of data analytics software.
• Intermediate knowledge of TeamMate software.
• Bahamas Financial Services Acts and Regulations
